There is a current issue with service delivery that we wanted to make you
aware of:

We are aware that some customers are currently experiencing issues with the delivery of Amazon parcels. Amazon has recently started to use a carrier that is not in contract with BFPO which, unfortunately, has led to some items not being accepted at BFPO London.

We regret any inconvenience that this has caused our customers. Please be aware that we are currently accepting all Amazon parcels delivered within our commercial receipts operating hours, in the short-term, pending discussions with Amazon to try to identify a suitable solution.

Any queries can be directed to our Service Desk, who will be able to advise further: Email: Telephone: +44 (0)345 769 7978 (calls are charged at local rate in the UK) Alternative: +44 (0)20 8589 3450 (civil) or 94676 3450 (military) Fax: +44 (0)20 8589 3309

There But Not There: Funding for silhouettes to mark the 100 year anniversary of the WWI Armistice

The Armed Forces Covenant Fund Trust (AFCFT) will be opening a programme making small awards to communities who want to engage in remembrance activity but who may have a financial barrier to doing so. As part of their project communities will need to hold an event to bring people together to remember; and to think about the Armed Forces Community today.

As the centenary of the end of World War One approaches, communities across the United Kingdom are thinking about how they can commemorate and bring people together. This award scheme will help communities to access silhouettes that bring to mind those who went to war and did not return. These silhouettes can bring a community together through an event, to remember, and to think about the Armed Forces Community today.

The grant will be awarded to community organisations who need help to obtain silhouettes. Organisations can apply for up to 10 silhouettes. As part of the award, the organisation will hold a self-funded event to bring the local community together; involving the local Armed Forces Community.

A link to the pre application guidance is attached here
The AFCFT is working with There But Not There to raise awareness of this award scheme; and reach communities that may not have had previous support from the Covenant Fund.

The following organisations can apply for the award:
* A charity
* A Community Interest Company (CIO)
* A School
* A place of worship, Multi-faith facility within a hospital or Armed Forces base, where people would not otherwise be able to engage in remembrance and engagement activity without financial resource.
* A community organisation with a constitution and a community space.

This is a great opportunity for organisations not normally eligible to apply for Covenant funding to obtain an award. This strand of Covenant funding will be open for applications from 1st – 30th June 2018.
