Introduction to Childminding

“Introduction to Childminding”
Scottish Childminding  Association (SCMA) have agreed to run an “Introduction to Childminding” course in Leuchars.  The course will run with a minimum of 6 participants and a maximum of 20.  It will consist of three 2½ hour sessions delivered over two Saturdays or can be delivered on weekday evenings between 7.30pm and 9.30pm.  It costs £100 for the three sessions, but all SCMA courses are Skills Development Scotland Individual Learning Account (ILA) registered.
SCMA’s Induction Training helps build strong foundations and establish a quality childminding service.  The interactive training programme covers everything needed to set up and run a childminding business, including:

- the law relating to childminding.
- the Care Inspectorate application process.
- how to best meet the needs of children in your care.
- the business side of childminding – everything from contracts to cashbooks.

SCMA Induction Training is designed to support people through every stage of the application process and beyond. It is highly recommend that Induction Training is attended to ensure childminding careers get off to the best start. For further information on SCMA and the courses please visit
